SRD returns with its annual Scottish Fashion Festival for November 2022

Scotland Re:Design (SR:D) returns to showcase and promote the best of Scottish Fashion & Textiles with the annual Scottish Fashion Festival focussing on core themes of Equality, Technology and Sustainability from Tuesday 15th to Sunday 20th November 2022.

2) We are looking to meet people, interview or record and discover stories from women and diverse communities in a collaborative exhibition due to open in the former Coats-Viyella Store in Dundee. Open to the public from 16-20th November this pilot exhibition will explore music and fashion, the strikes, the sound tracks, the waulking, the modern studio Spotify list, & we are keen to hear from organisations or people direct via this link - please do share and get in touch: MGS — SCOTLAND RE:DESIGN (redesign.scot)

3) Applications for EVENT GRANTS towards producing your own events within the Festival are now closed.

Taking place live from its new home in Dundee, SR:D’s Fashion Festival programme will be a mix of online scheduled and ticketed events featuring Designers, Brands and Creators.

Details of the annual flagship Runway Show will be announced soon.

The Programme and Tickets are due to go live to the public soon – and an exciting new exhibition is going ahead during the Festival itself from Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20th November at Overgate, Dundee’s hottest shopping destination.

With support from EventScotland, Dundee City Council, Universe, Shelter Scotland, V&A Dundee, and UNESCO City of Design Dundee, and Overgate, the festival is set to entertain and introduce Scottish fashion brands to customers again through a week of events online and in real life, and provide event based and high-quality portfolio work to over 100 creative professionals.

Programme and Content is being processed by SR:D, and audiences and ticketing managed in partnership with Universe. The deadline of 16th September for Grant applications enabled time to process the Grants, and for recipients to create the content to get it to us in time for the Festival, and for SR:D to launch the programme.

Applications to participate in the Festival are welcome from anyone who can afford to book, or already has Content they want to show which requires no further investment, and SR:D can schedule and support with branding and marketing. In this case, please contact info@redesign.scot
